Another day, another new pair of shorts! I recently sold two pairs of shorts on Ebay, so thought I'd use the money I made to buy shorts that I'd actually wear! They're really nice and the perfect high-waisted shorts in my opinion so I'm really happy with them. Also wearing the shirt that was too small in a 10, so exchanged it for a bigger size, it's so much nicer now! I've also been lazy and haven't repainted my nails even though they're seriously chipped, oops.

It's been really nice weather here in Southampton and this makes me feel so much better than when it's dark and dreary! On the bus yesterday I was listening to Ke$ha feeling all summery! My mum sent me such a cute little package that arrived yesterday with a gift card (from my brother) and a purple travel mug so I can take tea into my lectures. It was the best thing ever to receive after a boring two hour seminar so thanks mum!

Rimmel London I ♥ Fruities

Strawberry Fizz nail polish: £2.49 (usually £2.99)

Now I love a good nail polish, especially when the nail polish is £2.49! I saw the I Heart Fruities in Strawberry Fizz in Boots the other day, and decided to pick it up because it looked a lovely colour and was really cheap. I bought another polish out of the collection called Apricot Punch which I posted in my mini haul, but am yet to try it as a full base colour, I have only used it as part of a pattern so haven't seen it to it's full potential (what do I sound like?).

I am really impressed with this polish! It's really bright and so only needs two coats and it adds a great colour pop to an outfit even when the weather leaves a lot to be desired. So move over OPI, Rimmel have won my heart with this one, I just wish there were more polishes in the collection as these are the only two I can find. If you're still not convinced, then I should add that the polish does actually smell of strawberries! It reminds me of the sugary strawberry-flavoured sweets I used to eat when I was little.

Typical Student Problems

Today I had to do all my laundry which resulted in me having no clue what to wear! All my usual jeans were in the wash so I pulled out these 7/8th jeans that I bought from Topshop last summer. I love them because they're so comfortable and I think they fit me well. I love jeans. I can't wait for all my Ebay money to clear so I can have a good shop around for more clothes! Yay.

At the weekend I was shopping in Boots (I picked up a couple of things that I'll post about soon), and I was approached by a Benefit beauty consultant person who asked if I'd like to have a 'mini-makeover'. I think I would have accepted, however her face was so caked in make-up that I was genuinely scared of what she would put on me! Maybe it's just me but the people on the make-up counters such as MAC, Benefit and Urban Decay always wear too much make-up! It kinda scares me.

17 Lasting Fix in Mini Skirt with WAH Nails Nail Art Pen

I've seen various bloggers attempting dalmatian nails and they looked really good so thought I'd try to re-create them. What a fail! I don't have any black nail polish (I don't know why not!) and so instead used my nail art pen for the dalmatian pattern. Because I used so much of the nail art pen, it took ages to dry, so I became impatient and painted a top coat over the design, resulting in the pattern smudging and a hot mess on my nails!

Let this be a lesson for me, nail art pens are great for dots but not so great for bigger designs because the paint takes ages to dry! Now I need to decide what to paint my nails because the mess on my nails just depresses me every time I look at them. Hope you have a good Sunday!

Primark Beauty Volume Boost Mascara

When I saw this black mascara in Primark for the cheap price of £1 I had to try it out. I have extremely fair eyelashes, as well as eyebrows, and so need mascara to define my eyes otherwise I look gaunt and tired. Although my eyelashes are really fair, they are quite long and thick, which I am really grateful for! On first look, I quite like the simple packaging it comes in (a simple polythene bag) and the tube doesn't look too cheap and Primark-esque. Overall, I like the shape of the bottle and the plain colours used; it's not too fussy.

The brush is long and thin, supposedly for maximum coverage, however I dislike the fact that the wand is white and so seems cheap and flimsy. The wand looks dirty as you use the mascara more because of the product sticking to the wand. It is easily visible that the wand isn't of the best quality (then again, what do you expect for £1?), but this doesn't affect the application.

When the product is first used, it takes a few times of dipping the wand into the mascara for the wand to be fully covered. The product is quite sticky and not as easy to apply to the eyelashes as more expensive mascaras I have used, therefore it takes multiple applications for the eyelashes to be fully covered. However, once the eyelashes are covered they are not clumpy (this usually happens to me after multiple applications) and do not look like spider eyelashes. I wouldn't say that this mascara is volume boosting, it simply covers your eyelashes in the black product and so makes them look more defined.

Overall, I think this mascara is great if you already have long eyelashes and just need them to be more prominent by having them coated in black. If you have short and sparse eyelashes and need them to be boosted, I wouldn't recommend this for you, simply because it doesn't make your eyelashes look longer or thicker. This is a good product by Primark, especially in these circumstances where splashing out £6+ for a mascara simply isn't feasible! Please tell me if this review was helpful and if I should do more? I'm not sure if my style of writing is easy to understand.

I'm really not feeling motivated to blog at the moment! My items on ebay finished yesterday so I've been packing them up and sending them, looking forward to spending the money I've made. I really love painting nails and this has become my favourite thing to do, I'd love to practise on people so if anybody living in Southampton reads this then would you possibly be up for it? I highly doubt there will be!

Other than painting my nails I really haven't been doing that much. I take photos of what I'm wearing every day but then never post them because I don't think they're worthy of a post! I think I need to experiment much more with my wardrobe rather than wearing what I usually do.

This top is my best find in Primark! Henry Holland Spring 2012 anybody? It was only £5 (or it might have been £4), and has the cutest scalloped hem and sleeves. I bought these shorts in December and can only fit in them when at university because I lose weight when I'm here! When at home I eat so much home cooking that the buttons are a struggle, usually resulting in me having to lay on my bed and forcing the buttons to go through the holes! Thankfully I didn't have to do that today. I found some 150 dernier tights in Primark and have never seen any that thick before so grabbed them, they are so thick and cosy and I'm in love.

It didn't snow at all here in Southampton, it just rained and generally the weather was poop. I'm not actually going to complain though, it means my many trips and falls have been prevented. Also I'm so in love with Lana Del Rey (hence the title of this post) and I don't understand why she's getting so many bad reviews! I am going to watch the second season of the Big Bang Theory now and not do any university reading because I am not in the slightest bit motivated.

Experimenting with My Nails

Not the best photo, nor the tidiest nails but I was inspired by Gem on SuperScrimpers to paint my nails different designs. I did the stripes/tips freehand hence they aren't really that neat but overall I like the effect! I think I will try using tape to create the perfect stripes so will see how that goes. I also want to try marbling as well. I need to find a good clear top coar, my Rimmel one is so bad.

RE yesterdays post I returned the clothes to Primark today and did manage to get the black shirt in a bigger size and I'm so happy! Although I can't believe that I'm a 14, usually I'm a 10 but it doesn't matter.

I Hate Inconsistent Sizing!

Hi hello hola! Today I went to Primark and bought some lovely stuff. I hardly ever try on clothes at Primark because I know that I'm usually a 10 in there. What a mistake that was today! I have some beautiful clothes that don't fit me, so either I've gained weight or their sizes are different! I'm not bothered about this cream and pink blouse because it's just too see-through and looks weird with a vest underneath, but this shirt (top picture) is so nice and I know that there are no size 12s because I remember it was the only one left.

I am so sad that it's just that little bit too small across the chest and so creates those unsightly gapings in between the buttons that instantly makes you look 4 sizes bigger than you actually are. This is depressing! Two pairs of super skinny jeans were also too small, but I think that's just because my hips are too big to fit in them. I did have some successes which I'll wear in some outfit posts in the future, but overall it was largely unsuccessful and I'll be going back to Primark tomorrow to return and hopefully exchange the clothes if they miraculously stock a size 12 overnight!

Anyway, I'm going to go and watch The Big Bang Theory whilst crying over the clothes that don't fit me and eating peanut butter Kit Kats at the same time! :D

Polka Dotty

First time I've used my other OPI nail lacquers and I am seriously impressed! The colour is a really nice green and the sparkle is just thick enough to cover the nail with enough glitter, but the base colour can still be seen. Now I just hope I don't chip them whilst doing the washing up like I usually do.

Both the top and the vest underneath are new, I have to wear something underneath a sheer shirt, I'm not comfortable with my bra being on show! Respect to anyone who does though, I just know I'd be too self-conscious! The vest top is just plain black and was only £3, the shirt was £12. Really love Primark for this shirt, it fits me really well and is the right combination of baggy but still fitted.

Also, I do basically live in these boots because they're so comfortable, and I love jeans too - especially these high waisted ones. I hardly ever wear a skirt/shorts because I don't feel comfortable in them, especially not in winter! Oh and if you haven't already, please check out my Ebay. Thanks!

First Seminar of My Second Semester

Been feeling a bit glum and at a loss with the world today because of this. It's really made me sad that two young people have died and a man has even been arrested because of it. The reason I feel this way is because I went to school in Canterbury for seven years and it's affected the community in a pretty big way, even if I'm at the university in Southampton, it doesn't mean that I've lost all ties with Kent.

Sorry this is quite a heavy-hearted and sad post but I thought I'd explain my sad expression in the photos. On a more light-hearted noted I'm selling stuff on ebay and everything's started bid is 99p, click here to see items.

Also I realise there is a glare in both photos, I have a filter on my camere but the flash reflects back onto the image, so I'll stop using that in the future.

First outfit photos in my room at Halls and I have nowhere good to take photos! Plus the carpet is a horrid green colour which instantly makes the photo look much darker, as well as the fact I never get any sunlight in my room so have to rely on the flash and artificial lighting. I'll have to experiment with different places but I am running low on ideas. Anyway.

When I had to walk to campus this morning it was snowing so I decided to wear my trusty DMs to prevent any falling over/slipping if the ground gets icy. I am the clumsiest person and manage to fall over even when the ground is perfectly fine so whenever it snows I fall over all the time. I'm really not very graceful!

The top is new and was only £5! I bought it on Saturday along with other things that I'm sure will feature in outfit photos soon. I bought a size 14 because I think it's supposed to be cropped but I really dislike thinking about showing my tummy! It's also got really cute scalloped sleeves and a scalloped hem too so I had to buy it. I also bought a mascara for £1 from Primark too but I'm yet to try it, but I do think it's a great idea for Primark to sell cheap make-up, especially for students like me.

This shirt is new and I love the print. H&M have so many nice patterned clothes at the moment and I want all of them! It was only £12.99 too, which I think is cheap considering a Topshop equivalent would definitely be around £25-£30 even with student discount. Something else I really want is the Nicki Minaj for OPI collection (I'm now an OPI convert) but it's so expensive. Who wants to send me a present?! :)

Thanks to everyone who follows and comments on my blog. I was thinking about holding a giveaway when/if I get to 100 followers so I'll have to start producing ideas for that. I'm off to Primark now, I hope I'm not disappointed and there's loads of nice stuff!

Sarenza are holding a competition to find an ambassador for their brand, so I thought I'd take a shot at it! Although I'm not the girliest of girls, I do have a soft spot for shoes because I believe they can make an outfit look original depending on what shoes you wear. I looked through the Sarenza website and came across these floral patterned Dr Martens 1460 Liberty W's, which I love because they make a masculine shoe look really cutesy and feminine! I would wear these with my high-waisted jeans and sheer shirt tucked in, and I know that Dr Martens are really comfortable and built to last for a long time, so they'd be an investment for a student on a budget (like me!)

Yesterday I went for a little bit of shopping and bought all this plus two tops which I'll probably show in outfit posts in the near future. H&M is my favourite place right now because everything is affordable; I went into Topshop and their clothes were so overpriced it annoyed me! I looked round the charity shops too but didn't find anything I liked - I don't understand how people find good stuff in there, I never do.

I watched the first episode of Season 6 Skins the other day and it made me laugh at how the British youth are portrayed by partying and taking drugs and doing crazy stuff like holidaying to Morocco (how can they afford that? Seriously!) When I was 16/17 and even now I would much rather stay in watching Scrubs/Friends/New Girl/Gossip Girl than do all that stuff! And what makes me laugh even more is that people believe that Skins is what life really is like for teenagers in Britain. Hilarious!

Dotty Patterned Nails

I finally understand the hype surrounding OPI! I received the polishes that I bought for £5 each on sale and I can definitely see the quality in the brushes as well as the paint. I decided to put some polka dots over the top of Planks a Lot, and this is so easy and you don't need any fancy nail art equipment to do it.

I painted two coats of the OPI lacquer, and made sure they were completely dry. I then took my second colour, I chose Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, and using the brush dotted a blob on a piece of scrap paper. Then I took a cheap ball point pen (or use one that's run out of ink if you have one) and dipped it in the paint, then I practised dotting some dots on the paper so I became confident. Once I was confident, I simply started dotting my nails! Keep dipping the pen in the nail paint regularly.

Please tell me if you try this!

Old Tricks

This outfit consists mainly of all old stuff that I found in my wardrobe and threw together. You can't see it in the photos but the dress/smock thing has a polka dot pattern on it, I got it from Ebay for really cheap and it's so cute! I like layering patterns on top of each other, there's probably some law against it but I'm not one to follow trends religiously. I seriously need new clothes, I'm going to try and start shopping at charity shops since I watched SuperScrimpers last night and saw that you really shouldn't have to spend so much money on clothes. However, I seem to be a charity shop snob, I get bored because you have to rummage!

I've just started watching New Girl with Zooey Deschanel in and it is so good. I love how quirky she is, makes a change from the Blair Waldorfs we usually see in tv shows (although I heart Blair, I will forever ship Chair). I received my OPI nail lacquers that I bought last week, going to try and paint some designs on my nails after I've baked my mum the fruit scones that I promised her!

I have finished both assignments and submitted them, so now I am sitting and relaxing and watching TV! I'm so lazy when it comes to writing assignments because I always aim to write to the lower word limit, haha. Oh well, at least they're done and I have officially no work to do until semester 2 starts on the 30th, bliss! They weren't the best work I've ever done, but seeing as this is my first year at university I can't expect to be great at essay writing straight away.

I also received my bursary today! I still haven't decided what camera to buy, I'm going to try and organize myself and actually commit to a camera. I'll probably research that now after I've posted this. Thanks to everyone who has suggested me a camera, I will look back over those and see what suits me best.

Primark Wishlist

The two assignments that I've been working on for the past two weeks have to be submitted by 4pm tomorrow, so to get me through the final stressful day my mum told me she would take me to Primark next Saturday so I can buy items from their SS12 range, which I posted about here. I honestly love so much of the clothes in their look book, I want all of it! I love it when Primark sell good clothes, we all know they're cheap but they still look pretty! When I post tomorrow, I will have finished both assignments (I've already submitted one), and be happy that I can relax until my second semester at university starts on the 30th.

Frida Gustavsson for H&M Summer 2012

This is probably controversial, but I'm going to say it. I hate this collection, more photos here. Maybe hate is too strong a word, but I could not see myself wearing any of these clothes. Granted, Frida Gustavsson looks the epitome of beautiful here, but to be honest she could wear a paper bag and work it. She's my favourite model, and if she wasn't the model in these photos then I doubt I'd even make a post about this collection.

These clothes are great for the runway and for photo shoots, I like the colours and even the sportswear trend that seems to be popular this season, but just think: how practical are these clothes? I can't see how they would mix with my current wardrobe, I think H&M want you to buy all of the collection just to find an outfit to wear. I also didn't like the Versace for H&M Cruise Collection either. In my opinion, it was lazy. The same pattern was used throughout, it was really uninspiring. Please leave your thoughts in comments! I think I'm being a bit too harsh on H&M.

On another note, I get very bored with fashion blogs mainly because they produce the same thing and copy other ideas. I was wondering if you could please put your Blogspot urls in comments on this post so I can check out yours? I love seeing refreshing blogs that post something a little bit different and aren't trying to be clones of popular blogs. Mini rant, sorry, but I dislike unoriginality. Probably a hypocritical thing to say but what ya gonna do. I'll go now before I offend any more people.

Sorry about boring outfit etc. I have a few things I wish to blog about, then I'll get back to uni work/killing myself. I joke, I joke. I am so in love with Lana Del Rey right now, I want to look like her and sing like her and basically be her. Okay anyway:

1. I'm not sure whether to buy a normal DSLR camera or a DSLR camera with a video recorder built in so I can make videos and post them on here. Thoughts?

2. I saw War Horse last night and it was f-a-b. I didn't cry, but then again I didn't cry at Titanic, I'm like the female incarnation of Chandler Bing when it comes to crying at films. As a film student I felt obliged to watch it, but the film surprised me and I definitely recommend you to watch it.

3. I really dislike my whole wardrobe at the moment. I think when I'm back at university I will sell some on Ebay, I'll post about it when I do so if you're interested then watch this space ( ). Ha I made a funny!

4. I should be getting my bursary from university on Monday so then I'll be happy and be able to buy a camera if I can make my mind up, and possibly new clothes, but most of it will be saved, boring. This has been the worst post ever but whatever it's fine.

OPI 15ml Nail Lacquers for £5

I feel that it is my duty to tell you to check out the OPI sale here, there's a variety of nail lacquers that have £5.50 off the RRP so get buying! I bought Mermaid's Tears, Planks a Lot and Servin Up Sparkle. Have you bought any? The price is such a steal that it's hard to say no, and for three lacquers including delivery I spent £18.50, I'll call it a 'new year present' to myself.

Primark SS12

Stumbled across the Primark Spring 2012 lookbook here. I love the buttoned shirts, pastel colours, peter pan collars and all the different patterns they've incorporated. I don't really wear dresses but these ones are so cute that I might have to buy one! I'm also glad that they designed pastel trousers because they'll be much cheaper than similar versions in River Island and Topshop therefore kinder to my bank balance!

I hope that my local Primark stocks most of this collection, the one nearest me at home is the tiniest thing ever but the Southampton store (where I go to university) is so much better, when I go back down I'll be frantically searching the store for the blouses and shorts! I wish the weather was warmer, I mean I guess it is only January but I want it to be sunny so I can wear pastels and shorts! Right now it's so cold I just want to wear a hoody and thick socks.

If you do check out the collection then please tell me your favourite pieces. I've chosen mine and will probably make a wishlist in the next few days and post it. I was going to take some outfit photos today, then realised I have the most boring outfit on ever. I'm also not really feeling that inspired to blog either, kinda had a moment when I thought 'why am I writing a blog again?' but I'm sure it'll pass.

Leopard Print Nails

I've already raved about the Models Own x WAH Nails nail art pen here, but if you're unsure whether to buy it then you definitely should! I'm so in love with my nails right now, and they weren't even hard to do. I've seen various tutorials on how to do them, but kinda did my own thing. My main tip is to make sure the base layer is completely dry before adding the second colour dots, then make sure they're fully dry before going round them with the nail art pen. If you have a go, please link me to photos!

I did my nails whilst watching Sherlock last night. How good was it? Bring on Series 3! During the last scene with Martin Freeman my heart was in my mouth! Anyway, happy Monday.

I love me a spring preview! How gorgeous is this lot? I find myself looking on the internet for so many hours a day just browsing at clothes. 9 times out of 10, I don't buy them. The process is this: look at websites such as Topshop, Ark Clothing and Missguided, add everything you want into your basket, look at said basket and think of how beautiful the clothes are, then remember how poor you are so close the webpage and sit in a self-inflicted sorrow of student debt and wishing you were a trillionaire.

Let's get away from the depressing subject of money and talk cameras. I was thinking of buying a Canon 1000D, then remembered that if I've already used a Canon 350D and it takes good photos and is cheaper, then maybe I should opt for that. I need to wait until my bursary goes into my bank account, but I think I've found a camera (yay!) that is within my budget.

This post is very wishy-washy! So anyway, I'm far too excited about SS12. Have you seen any collections that you're excited about? Vero Moda is still my favourite at the moment, which I posted about a couple of days ago. However, the dip dye skinny jeans are so my kinda thing, I need them in my life! What's your favourite from the River Island Spring Preview? Does anyone have a tree that money grows out of?

I am in love with this swallow print top! If I could marry a piece of clothing... haha. Anyway, happy Saturday! I hope your day is going to be more eventful than mine, I've been to the gym and now am going to continue with uni work. I'm a massive procrastinator, so can end up researching a variety of things whilst I'm supposed to be working. Mainly clothes, of course, but I also tweet to my heart's content and occasionally reblog stuff on Tumblr.

I really want my own DSLR camera, at the moment I use my parents' one which is a Canon 350D but when I go back to university obviously I won't have it and so won't be able to post photos. I was thinking of buying a second-hand one off of Ebay, but I'm not sure how much I trust the seller! I don't want to spend more than £300, preferably less than that, so if anyone sees one please could you tell me?

I'm also trying to fill the blank space to the right of my posts, I was thinking maybe the space could be used to advertise other blogs, but I'm not really sure. I'm very indecisive ~~sometimes~~ at all times. What do you think?

Danish fashion chain Vero Moda have used my personal favourite 'It' girl during their shoot for the Spring 2012 collection. Alexa Chung looks gorgeous, as always, showing off the reasonably-priced clothes, and I want all of them! I love how the clothes are all interchangable so could easily be mixed to create lots of different outfits! My favourites are the Toscana blouse and the Calantha short dress, I might even buy them if my bank allows me. Shipping is free over €80 (around £66) and I could easily spend more than that. What are your favourites?

I know I pretty much say this in every post but seriously thank you so much for reading, commenting and following my blog! Only a quick post today! I've had these leggings for like two years now, the leather jacket was in the Topshop sale last year, the top is second-hand which I bought online and the boots are new-ish - they're the most comfortable boots ever!

I'm still powering through these assignments and slowly dying inside during the process. I've been looking around so many clothing websites for the perfect sheer blouse but I'm having no luck whatsoever, it's annoying. I don't even think I'm sure what I'm actually looking for! Also tempted to buy the Models Own Pastel Collection because it has £10 off at the moment so is only £20 for 6 polishes which is really good.

I've always watched The Hills as well as The City and fantasised about living in Los Angeles or NYC like the people in the reality shows. My two favourite characters (well not really 'characters', but I know that most of their lives on TV were staged!) were Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port, mainly because of their hair, their internship at Teen Vogue and also their wardrobe! Anyway, I'm getting off topic here! Both Lauren and Whitney have created very successful clothing lines, and I was so excited when I found out about Whitney's 'Whitney Eve' range at Littlewoods.

Although the collection is fairly small, comprising of only 24 pieces *sob*, all of them are completely gorgeous. Yes, they are a little expensive (£39 for the vest top, £47 for t-shirts) but the patterns and colours she has used make up for the price. The t-shirts have a scooped back (click the links to see) which I think makes them perfect to wear in summer, or simply wear with a vest top underneath in colder weather.

Aussie Luscious Long Hair Products

For about a year my go-to shampoo (haha that rhymes!) and conditioner has always been Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek and I have never had any problems with this, until my hair started to grow longer and my ends have become more damaged. This is solely my fault, through over-use of straighteners and hair dryers and lack of heat-defence spray, mainly because I always forget to use it. On Sunday I noticed how frizzy and split end-y the ends of my hair were becoming, so bought some Aussie shampoo, conditioner and deep treatment in a 3 for £10 Boots deal.

After using the shampoo and deep treatment today, I can already see the and difference in my hair. The label on the deep treatment advises you to leave it in for 1-3 minutes depending on the state of your hair, so I left it in for 3 minutes and it worked a treat. The shampoo also smells great and only a small amount is needed, so I can see that these products will last me a while. Aussie have a huge range of haircare products that can be seen here, and will definitely have something to suit you!

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Been dedicating my time towards writing my assignments today, so had to watch Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and write notes on it - got to love Marilyn. During this process I managed to eat a whole packet of Jaffa Cakes, how did that happen? My body will never be as good as Annalynne McCord's at this rate!

I also received my student finance today, however most of it goes out next week to pay for my accommodation. I wish the university took that money straight away because it's teasing me, and I know I can't spend it! I'm still at home at the moment as I don't have any lectures or seminars and can submit my assignments online. Home is so nice because of creature comforts, namely a dishwasher and home-cooked food and of course my family. Hope everyone is good, and thanks for reading and commenting on my blog, it makes me happy when I read them.

I have a confession to make: I have never owned an OPI nail lacquer. I absolutely adore all the colours, but have never been able to choose one to buy and also have never been able to bring myself to spend so much on nail polish, maybe I'm just ~~stingy~~ sensible. Whenever a new collection comes out, like the new Nicki Minaj inspired collection, I spend ages reading up about them and choose my favourite. I think I will definitely buy one soon, could anyone recommend a website to purchase them from?

I took these photos yesterday, and the lighting really wasn't good, apologies! I didn't think I would post these, firstly because I don't see myself as being deserving of posting 'outfit photos' as in my opinion my style is like every 18 year old's and secondly because it's kind of weird and embarrassing for me to take photos of myself and put them on the internet for everyone to see. If I don't post as consistently in the coming days it's because I have an assignment deadline for university and so am dedicating my time to that. So yeah, this is my first outfit post, yay/woo/ooh. 7 Facts About Me:

I study Film Studies at the University of Southampton. I am originally from Herne Bay in Kent. I take my tea with skimmed milk and no sugar. I have really bad eyesight and usually wear contact lenses. I love reading. I have six piercings. My middle name is Louise.

1. Name your favourite song: This is a really hard question for me to answer. I would say that my all-time favourite song is 505 by Arctic Monkeys, and I saw them live in October which was the best thing ever.
2. Name your favourite dessert: That would have to be sticky toffee pudding, served with ice cream - yum!
3. What ticks you off? Lot's of little things can annoy me, like spelling/grammatical errors because I can get really obsessive over that type of stuff. The phrase 'I'm not being funny, but...' annoys me, and people who think they are better than others and blatantly disrespect others too.
4. When I'm upset, I...Cry.
5. Favourite pet? I've had two cats, but they're both dead now :(. Cats are my favourite animals, simply because they're so cute and so relaxed, their life seems so perfect!
6. Black/White? Black, I always wear black clothes because they go with everything.
7. Biggest fear? I have a massive fear of running down stairs and then tripping up and falling down them. I've never actually done it, but the thought of it scares me so much! I always walk down stairs so carefully now, especially on buses because I've seen people falling down them and cringed so badly.
8. Everyday attitude? I'd describe myself as quite relaxed and laid-back. I'm also quite introverted. Most of the time I'm happy also.
9. What is perfection? Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone.
10. Guilty pleasure? The Twilight Saga, mainly because of Robert Pattinson. Oh and also the TV programme 'Extreme Couponing'!

Pastel colours are very on-trend for S/S 2012 so while I was browsing Topshop online today I decided to pick out eight of my favourite pastel pieces. I love this trend because the colours remind me of summer, and high street shops such as River Island and New Look are also stocking pastels to help reduce the strain on my bank account! I'm also obsessed with pastel coloured nail polish, which I may do a post on in the future because I have so many of them. Will you be buying any of these items?

I bought the Models Own x WAH Nails nail art pen in black yesterday and played around with it a bit today. The pen has a nib that's ideal for making dots or other small, precise designs as well as a long brush that produces really good stripes (I used the brush on my little fingernail). I think it's quite easy-to-use, but I'd like it even more if it was more like a pen and didn't need to be squeezed to produce the nail paint because it can make designs become really wobbly. The next nail art pen I will try out is the Topshop Nail Art Pen because it doesn't have a metal nib, and is built more like a real pen. Overall, I can definitely see me using this to add dots to my nails, and the paint dries really quickly.

I Volunteer as Tribute

Today I woke up at 7:15am and went to the gym. I told my mum I would yesterday, but instantly regretted that decision when I heard my alarm go off this morning. Anyway, I went and now feel better for it, and so had time afterwards to do more ~~important~~ geeky things like finishing The Hunger Games.

I've seen so many people posting on Twitter and Facebook about how they loved the books, so I asked for them for Christmas and started reading them on Boxing Day. I finished the last one today, and loved them so much, I definitely recommend them! The first film is out on March 23rd, which I look forward to obsessing over when it's released in cinemas.

My mum and dad bought me this DKNY purse for Christmas and I love it. I wish I could afford so many designer items, mainly a Mulberry Alexa, but unfortunately my poor student budget won't accomodate this! Instead, I've made my way through 2 faux Primark versions of the bag and am currently on my third, simply because I use them all the time.

On another note, my nail polish is so chipped at the moment but I really don't have the motivation to paint them, and even if I did I wouldn't be able to choose a colour because I have so many. Oh, the joys of white girl problems.
